In a world that is increasingly competitive and especially in an industry like ours, being at the forefront of technology and new techniques gives you the competitive edge over the other competitors in the market. That's why our Bodega has been developing a RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT and INNOVATION department since 2005.

Despite the young age of this newly created department, among its activities it is already carrying out a series of projects in conjunction with leading research centres and specialist companies that cover the work in the vineyard right through to the production and ageing processes, all of them following the commitment of the Bodega to grow through innovation, to quickly become a leading company in our sector.

STUDY AND OPTIMISATION OF CURING AND TOASTING OAK FOR BARRELS FOR WINE AGEING.

Project developed by the INTONA cooperage, where the Bodega participated as a collaborator in the ageing of wine using different types of tests that assessed the development of ellagitannins and polyphenols, the development of volatile aromatic compounds of American oak and European oak from different places and the treatment of the oak in curing parks (concluded in July 2006).

ENVIRONMENTAL INTELLIGENCE APPLIED TO PRECISION AGRICULTURE: OPTIMISATION OF VINEYARD IRRIGATION

Project in development with the University of Zaragoza, with the electronic design Group of the Engineering Research Institute of Aragon.

STUDY AND CONTROL OF THE EFFECTS OF THE WINE-MAKING PROCESSES ON THE WINE PRODUCTION

A technological development project of the Bodega, it is an IBEROEKA project, in which the following companies participate: another Spanish company that manufactures agricultural machinery: AGROMET EJEA S.L., a development company in Chile: YT INGENIERÍA LTDA. and the Research Centre of the University of Chile through its DEPT. OF AGRO-INDUSTRY AND OENOLOGY OF THE FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES. A cooperation consortium has been developed in this project: associative contract, multilateral organisation, included in the Science and Technology for Development Ibero-American Programme, CYTED, that has the objective of establishing a common organisation to facilitate, develop, increase or strengthen operations related to the R+D activity of its members.

DEVELOPMENT OF A MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL TOOL FOR THE WINE-MAKING PROCESSES TO GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF THE WINE.

A technological development project of the Bodega, which aims to create a tool to collect and process the data produced in the field and in the winery in order to provide the farmer and the Bodega with all the necessary information directly and immediately. Improving the company's decision making and competitiveness. Project backed by CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technological Development).
